Are you stuck in a Christian fiction rut?

If you are looking for a bit of a change from your typical Christian fiction book, then check out Anne Elisabeth Stengl’s Starflower.  As part of the Tales of Goldstone Wood series, this story will quickly draw you into an amazing world with fascinating characters.  I am glad I gave Christian fantasy a chance and broke out of my Christian fiction rut.

Follow the poet Eanrin as he goes on a valiant journey to rescue the fair maiden Lady Gleamdren.  Things are not as they seem and his travels prove to be more complex than anyone could have imagined.  When his path crosses with the beautiful Starflower, Eanrin is forced to see himself and his motivations as they truly are, and his life is forever changed.

Stengle is a master storyteller and as she crafts a world with both delightful characters and loathsome characters you are ultimately presented with deep questions to ponder regarding your own relationship with a loving Saviour.

5 out of 5 stars

I received a free copy of this book from Bethany House Publishers in exchange for a fair and honest review.
